Mission: Escape! is a colourful arcade adventure for the ZX Spectrum Next from Croft Soft Software. Explore 80 connected screens, recover essential equipment and repair the systems standing between you and your flight home.
Start deep underground, then work your way through caves, mining tunnels, flooded passages and an abandoned installation. Beyond the base, exposed ridges lead towards the surface and your escape rocket.
A jetpack gets you airborne, but every flight spends fuel. Oxygen steadily runs down too, so plan your journey around supplies and air stations. Optional branches offer extra lives, temporary power-ups and full replacement fuel tanks. You decide whether the reward earns the detour.
Explore, repair, escape
Collect five coloured access keys to open new routes. Carry puzzle objects between locations, inspect machinery and work out where each tool belongs. Your pack holds three objects, so remember what you find and where you need it.
Restore electrical power, drain a flooded underpass, cut through a welded hatch and repair the cooling system. Each completed repair brings another part of the world within reach.
Meanwhile, horizontal flyers, vertical guards, pursuing skeletons and mounted turrets challenge your timing. Falling rocks, steam vents and cave spikes add obstacles along the way. Use platforms to pause, watch the patrols and choose your moment.
